Updated: February 8, 2013
A former Greece Police officer convicted of coercing a woman into having sex has been denied parole.

Gary Pignato, 52, is serving a two-to-six year sentence behind bars for bribery. Pignato was convicted of coercing a woman to have sex in order to avoid arrest. He has been in prison since September 2009. The parole board believed that if released, Pignato would be likely to break the law again and serve as a danger to other women.

Pignato has a conditional release date of June 5th.
