Female Body Found in Tryon Park

Rochester Police are investigating a suspicious death -- following the discovery of a woman's body in a Tryon Park ravine.
The park sits close to Route 590 in the North Winton Village area.
The area where the woman's body was found is gated off to traffic and pedestrians. Only county vehicles and other official vehicles are allowed down there.
Police say a county maintenance worker found the woman's body around 1:20 pm on Wednesday.
Police say the death is suspicious because of the condition they found the woman's body but would not be specific.
Police knocked on doors in the afternoon and want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed something.
Ironequoit Police were also investigating because the area borders Irondequoit.
Police plan to have further updates on Thursday.
