Free Pancakes for a Good Cause

"It's a good day. A different day for IHOP. We change our focus from everything we do to give back to the community and try to make it as big a day as possible for the kids" said Jason Hargrave, District Manager of IHOP.
Here's how it works. Guests can enjoy a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes. Once you get your pancakes, you are asked to make a donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. All the money raised in our area goes to Golisano Children's Hospital.
"Technology is very expensive, providing the best care, the research, education so all of those donations help in those efforts," said Betsy Findlay, Director of Advancement at Golisano Children's Hospital.
Last year, the Henrietta and Irondequoit locations raised more than $3,000 combined.
"My goal today is to beat last year but anything is better than nothing and every dollar helps, so it's going locally and it stays where it needs to," said Hargrave.
You can get free pancakes until 10 p.m. This year, IHOP's goal is to raise $3 million nationally.
