This year's flu season is one of the most severe we have seen and because of that, the Red Cross has an urgent need for donations.

To help, the Islamic Center of Rochester partnered up with the Red Cross and held a blood drive on Super Bowl Sunday. Dozens showed up to give a little to save a life. The center's youth group were the organizers of the event.

"Push for helping out the community. we really are looking forward to doing constant activities helping out and this is one of the things they're doing," Adil Ali said.

The Red Cross is looking for donors with types O, A and B-negative blood. To find out where there is a blood drive near you, click here.
