Dontay Caruthers scored 26 points but East could not finish their rally and fell to Olean 70-65 in the RAP Classic at East High Friday night.
Wil Bathurst led Olean with 20 points.
East led by a point with 3:30 to go, but Olean ripped off a 5-0 run to take a 59-55 lead.
The Orientals made a couple of 3's late to keep the game close, but Olean made enough free throws to put it away.
