Kodak has successfully sold its digital imaging patents, which is another requirement for the company to get out of bankruptcy.

Kodak's patents have been sold for approximately $527 million. That money will help the company pay back a significant chunk of its DIP loan. The patents were reportedly sold to a collection of companies, including Google, Fuji and Apple. While Kodak sold the over-1,000 patents, they still retain the rights to use them.

Kodak hopes to emerge from bankruptcy somewhere in the middle of the year.
