Sandy Relief Bill Passes Congress

Congress has passed more than $50 billion in emergency relief for victims of Hurricane Sandy.
The Senate passed the bill Monday night with a 62-36 vote. Supporters say the money is desperately needed to rebuild homes and businesses. The 36 Republicans who voted against the aid package wanted $50 billion in spending cuts somewhere else to keep from adding to the national debt. President Obama has said he will sign the bill.
