SU Loses Coleman For Month

By: Thad Brown
Updated: January 28, 2013
Syracuse announced that center DaJuan Coleman will have surgery on his left knee Tuesday and will miss the next four weeks.

It's not known how Coleman sustained the injury or what exactly the surgery will fix. Reportedly, the injury occurred in practice before Saturday's game against Villanova. Coleman did play seven minutes against the Wildcats.

If Coleman is out four weeks, he would be healthy enough to return for SU's final three regular season games.

Without Coleman and James Southerland, the Orange are down to seven scholarship players. Jim Boeheim said he's hopeful Southerland will soon be back, but there is no time frame for that to happen.
