Spencerport Man Injured In Snowmobile Accident

A Spencerport man suffered a serious head injury when he was thrown off his snowmobile Wednesday afternoon in the Town of Kendall.
The accident happened just before 2:30 p.m. in an area north of Roosevelt Highway east of Kendall Road. John Battista, 35, was heading toward a snowmobile trail when his machine ran into a drainage ditch. Battista was ejected from the snowmobile and thrown head first into a fellow rider's snowmobile. Battista was wearing a helmet.
Battista was transported to Strong Hospital and is listed in guarded condition.
