Route 250 Lift Bridge in Fairport Closing for Repairs

The Route 250 bridge over the Erie Canal in Fairport will close for repairs Monday. The bridge is expected to be closed for six weeks as the New York State Department of Transportation repairs its deteriorating steel components.
The state D.O.T. says the repairs to the bridge, which was built a century ago, will extend its life.
The sidewalk will remain open for bikers and pedestrians during the repairs.
