New York Safe Act Questions, Answered

By: WROC-TV
Updated: January 19, 2013
There is still a lot of confusion when it comes to the New York Safe Act.

In an effort to help answer those questions, Governor Cuomo has established a website. The website offers a list of frequently asked questions as well as what guns are considered assault weapons.

It includes pictures and banned features. To view the page, click here.

The New York State Police have also established a telephone hotline. The hotline will go live on Monday. It will run from Monday's to Friday's and be staffed by State Police.

The number is 1-855-LAW-GUNS.
