Janae Guy led Canandaigua with 21 points and Ali Fitzgerald scored with ten seconds left in regulation to force overtime as the Braves eventually beat Brighton 66-58 in double overtime Friday night on Winton Road.

Canandaigua led by six early in the fourth quarter before Brighton went on a 22-9 run. Brooke Wolff gave the Barons their first lead of the quarter with a three-point play and Brighton led by five points with 20 seconds to go.

However, Fitzgerald completed her own three-point play to pull the Braves within two. After Brighton missed a pair of free throws, Fitzgerald easily drove for the tying bucket with ten seconds to go. The Barons were unable to inbound quickly after Fitzgerald's score and a 60-foot heave at the buzzer missed short and left.

Canandaigua scored the first four points of overtime, but the Barons shut CA down from there. Kiera Lorenzo canned a three and Brighton made one of two free throws with 12 seconds left to tie.

Each team had a chance to win at the end of the first overtime, but Canandaigua lost a dribble out of bounds with 0.4 remaining. Brighton actually connected on a length of the court pass and got a shot off in those four tenths of a second, but it missed too high off the backboard.

Canandaigua quickly took over in the second OT. Guy made a layup to give the Braves the lead for good and Jordan Johnson hit a three a minute later to make the lead five points. Brighton was all out of comebacks and scored only two points in the four-minute period.

Mara Sindoni added 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Braves.
