An indictment was unsealed in Monroe County Court against Robert Mastowski, 51, on Tuesday. He is charged with vehicular manslaughter and DWI in the death of 25-year-old Louis Alayon back in October. The District Attorney's office says Mastowski was driving drunk on Brick Schoolhouse Road, near Route 260. Mastowski was at a stop sign when he pulled out in front of Alayon's oncoming car. The crash sent both vehicles into a ditch. Alayon was ejected from his car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Alayon's 23-year-old wife was also inside the car and was taken to the hospital.
Mastowski will be back in court Thursday.
