New Law Hopes To Detect Breast Cancer Risk

A new law goes into effect this weekend that will require mammography providers to inform women if they have dense breast tissue.
Statistics show 50 percent of women have dense breast tissue and don't know it. The law also suggests doctors tell women about the personal risks for breast cancer and other options for screening. Currently, women get a report of results following mammograms. The report would now include information about breast density.
