Updated: January 14, 2013
The trial of a Perinton man accused of his wife's murder is set to begin in April.

The trial for Douglas Irish will begin on April 8th. He is charged with murder for allegedly stabbing his wife to death back in October of 2011. Monroe County Sheriff deputies found Patricia Irish in the bedroom of her Rosscommon Crescent home. Police say her husband stabbed her multiple times in the arm with a 10-inch kitchen knife. Three of the couple's children were living with them before the murder. There's an order of protection in place preventing Douglas Irish from having any contact with the children.
