American troops are scheduled to pull out of Afghanistan in December 2014.

But the number of troops that will remain behind to help the country stay safe is still being debated, and now we have learned that there is a possibility the U.S. will pull out every single troop next year. White House officials say they are considering the so-called "Zero Option," which could bring home every U.S. soldier. They say the goal is not necessarily to keep American troops in Afghanistan, but to fight terrorists. Afghan president Hamid Karzai will meet with President Obama at the White House this week to discuss the issue.
