Genesee County Approved As Foreign Trade Zone

Genesee County has been approved as a foreign trade zone.
It is a big boost for economic development and job creation because it gives businesses in the zone duty savings and tax advantages. Monroe County was designated as a foreign trade zone in 1987. Right now the designation applies to two industrial parks in Genesee County, but more can be added later.
