Former Greece Police Chief Merritt Rahn is out of prison. He was released Wednesday.

Rahn was convicted of official misconduct and tampering with evidence back in 2010.

A jury found him guilty on corruption for covering up a hit and run accident involving a former police officer and falsifying a background check for a different officer.

He's been in prison for the last two years and was granted parole last month.

Rahn's son, Chad, told News 8 that he is anxious to have his father home and is eager to put the past behind them.
