The auction for Hickey Freeman is expected to begin Monday.

Its parent company, HMX Group, was given an extension to sell the company last month. HMX filed bankruptcy in October and plans to close three plants, including Rochester, if it can't arrange financing to stay in business. Hickey Freeman employs about 450 people locally. Bids are expected to start at $70 million.
