Pittsford Teens Collect Cans for a Good Cause

By: WROC-TV
Updated: December 8, 2012
A group of teens put on a Pittsford-wide can and bottle drive Saturday.

The students collected 5-cent returnable cans and bottles all day at ArtsRoc on Monroe Avenue. Postcards went out to 10,000 Pittsford residents, who received postcards in the mail last month about the "Can for Kids".

"Cans for Kids" was founded by Alia Bajorek in 2009. She was a freshman at Pittsford Sutherland High School at the time. This is cans for kids biggest event yet.

If you didn't get a chance to donate Saturday, you can drop off cans and bottles at the Henrietta Redemption Center anytime. Just tell them the donation is for "Cans for Kids".
