25-year-old Amanda Crow of Canandaigua was killed when the car she was riding in crashed into a truck Tuesday night. The crash happened at Shortsville and Payne Roads.
Police say, Ashlie White, 24, ran a stop sign and was t-boned by a pick-up truck. She was taken to the hospital.
The driver of the pick-up truck, John Ceballo, was not injured. We've learned that Crow worked in the Canandaigua City School District.
She is a 2005 graduate of the school, and she had been a substitute teacher since October of last year. No charges have been filed in the crash.
Nazareth College says its mourning the loss of Crow. She was a graduate student in the School of Education. Crow was earning her master's of science in education and was in the Education Technology Specialist program.
Nazareth says, "We are sending our thoughts and prayers to Amanda's family, friends and all those who knew her at Nazareth."
Nazareth says staff members in counseling services are available for walk-in support and as needed in the coming days.
