Famed Jazz Artist Dave Brubeck Dies

CBS News reports that famed jazz composer and pianist Dave Brubeck has died at age 91.

Brubeck died of heart failure Wednesday morning while on his way to a cardiologist appointment. He is best known for the formation of the Dave Brubeck Quartet in 1951. CBS News says he was the first modern jazz musician to be featured on the cover of Time Magazine. Brubeck performed several times at the Rochester Xerox International Jazz Festival, the most recent being in 2009.
