A number of students, parents, and educators from across New York are traveling to Albany on Wednesday to protest policies that could hurt school districts.

There is a bus tour taking place and the goal of it is to get the Governor and the state legislature to address a fiscal crisis.

18 students and some teachers left Rochester Wednesday morning around 8:30.  They were meeting up with between 800 and 1,000 others in Albany.

The bus tour has already made 25 stops across the state.  Teacher Dan Delehanty says, "art and music is esential to a students education, we are cutting music out of schools, we are giving art teachers class lists that exceed 200 students."

Teachers say continued cuts to education will undermine teachers and students.
