A toddler remains in guarded condition following a serious crash in Seneca County.

It happened just before 8 p.m. on County Road 139 in the town of Ovid. Police say Natalie Covert, 29, was driving westbound when she struck a horse-drawn buggy. The impact caused the buggy to flip and all six people inside were ejected. A three-year-old was taken by Mercy Flight to Strong Hospital. The driver and a 16-year-old passenger have since been treated and released from Strong. The other three people in the buggy sustained minor injuries. Covert was issued a speeding ticket.
