Dive crews are on the scene working to recover the vehicle out of the Erie Canal in Sweden.

Police were called to Sweden Walker Road near the bridge for the report of a car in the water. A passerby spotted the car submerged in the canal early Thursday morning. The Monroe County Sheriff's department confirms that it is a stolen vehicle. It is unclear whether there is anything or anyone inside the vehicle at this time. We have a crew on scene and will bring you the latest on News 8 First at 4.
