A Webster woman and her employer have been charged after police say she stole jewelry from an elderly woman, and her employer tried to cover it up.
Yolanda Gadsby is facing several charges including evidence tampering, petit larceny and obstructing governmental administration. Livingston County Sheriff deputies say Gadsby stole jewelry from an 84-year-old Livonia woman and pawned it. The elderly woman told police that Gadsby was part of a group of salesmen going door-to-door. Investigators say her employer, Daniel Bierworth, tried to find the pawned, stolen merchandise to cover up the theft. He faces the same charges.
Both remain in the Livingston County Jail. They will appear in court at a later date.
