Seven nursing students left this morning from the Rochester airport, and they are on their way to Kenya, Africa.
The group will be working at clinics for a children's school as well as a hospital. They will also travel to remote tribal villages as part of their work and study.
"We're also teaching them about things like we take for granted like a lot of women's health issues, and teaching them information about that," says Meera Kedley, one of the Fisher students.
The students say they are nervous since fro many of them this is their first trip overseas. They say it's exciting and nerve wracking to be helping a different population.
