Former Kodak Scientist and Inventor Passes Away

The Eastman Kodak company is mourning the loss of one of its former employees. Bruce Bayer was a retired Kodak scientist and inventor.

He invented a color filter that's used in nearly every digital camera and camera phone on the market today.

Kodak released a statement:

"Bryce Bayer's inventions revolutionized the field of digital photography and are used today by most digital still and video cameras. It was our privilege to have him as a research colleague and all of Kodak will remember him warmly. We extended our sincere condolences to the family. "
