An estimated 41 million Americans will be traveling over this Thanksgiving holiday, and 4.5 million of them will be flying. That's down about 7% from last year.

And so far, many travelers say it's been smooth sailing. In fact, some actually enjoy the hustle!

"My thoughts weren't about the travel or the aircraft or anything," says Grace Mason, who is traveling to Jamaica. "I'm excited. I like traveling during the holiday season. It's fun. It's the anticipation of Thanksgiving and Christmas and all of that. It's just a warm season, a warm time of the year and I look forward to it."

Tommy Nakashima is a student at the Eastman School of Music and is flying home to North Carolina. So far, so good for him.

"It's been smooth. No traffic. The security line is non-existent, so it's all good right now," says Nakashima.

The weather doesn't look like it'll be posing any problems, at least for most of the country, but you're advised to check ahead before you leave for your flight.
