Pedestrian Struck on Joseph Ave.

A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being struck by a car on Joseph Avenue.

Rural Metro received the call around 3:22 p.m. Rochester Police say a 62-year-old man was injured after a car hit a minivan. Police say the man was either loading onto or unloading from the minivan. The impact of the crash caused the man to be thrown into the roadway. He is currently in surgery at Strong Hospital with what police describe as a serious, life-threatening head injury. The driver of the car and the car's passenger were also taken to Strong Hospital.
