The Salvation Army is stepping up to help people who may be less fortunate this holiday season.

On Sunday, the organization hosted its annual Thanksgiving dinner at all three of its community centers. Organizers say its a way for people to get out before the busy holiday season and enjoy time with others.

The Salvation Army was able to serve 350 to 400 meals  as part of this effort.
