New York Sees Increase In Private Sector Jobs

New numbers from the U.S. Department of Labor show a statewide increase in private sector jobs.

According to department statistics, New York State added 5,900 private sector jobs in October. That brings the state unemployment rate down from 8.4 percent in September to 8.2 percent in October. Over the last year, over 133,000 private sector jobs have been added in New York State, 3,200 of those being added in the Rochester area.
