A female deputy with the Monroe County Sheriff's office suffered minor injuries after a brief pursuit in Henrietta Tuesday morning.

Deputies were called to a residence on Shadbush Way for the reports of a man trying to take his father's car. Against the deputy's order, Stephone Wolde-Tinsaye, 29, got into his father's car and backed up. The female deputy was struck by the car's open door, knocking her to the ground. The suspect drove the car until he got trapped between two vehicles in the area of Jefferson Road and Hylan Drive.

Wolde-Tinsaye is facing multiple charges, including assault and attempted robbery. Deputies say he stole a shuttle bus from an area hotel and tried to rob a woman in the parking lot of a convenience store.
