A standoff ended peacefully in a Greece neighborhood Monday morning.

It started around 7 p.m. Sunday night with a domestic dispute on McGuire Road. Greece Police say a man in his 30s went into the home and refused to come out. Police believe he had a shotgun with him. No one else was in the home at the time. Police say they secured a perimeter around the house and used a 911 hyper-reach to tell neighbors to stay inside their homes. Around midnight, five hours after the standoff started, the man surrendered to police and was taken into custody. Police say the man was upset over a domestic situation. No one was injured in the standoff.
