Local Veterans Honored While Still Serving In Community

One local couple appreciates the show of support for Veterans' Day. They are veterans themselves and now continue to serve our community as EMTs.
Jason and Candice Kourts both served in our armed forces. Jason was in the Army for four years and served overseas in Bosnia and Kosovo. Candice was an Air Force firefighter. Now both work for Rural Metro. The military family says the "thank yous" they get on Veterans' Day mean a lot to them.
"A simple thank you and I do I get it from a lot of my friends especially this time of year; it's heart felt, and it means more to most of us than I think people realize," Jason said.
Jason and Candice are just two of the many veterans at Rural Metro. The company partners with the Veterans Outreach Center to help service members with medical training find jobs.
