Bobbie Kugler is facing murder and arson charges. She cried throughout her entire pre-trial hearing.
Three Rochester Police Department investigators testified. The defense argued that investigators used deceptive techniques when questioning Kugler. They also questioned Kugler's state of mind saying she was hospitalized for ten days after a suicide attempt.
Investigators discussed two recorded conversations that were with Kugler on April 5 and 13.
The defense brought in Kugler's 15-year-old cousin, Ivy Evans, who was with her at the time of her arrest on April 13. Kugler was living in Poughkeepsie.
Assistant District Attorney Kyle Steinebach said there are more than 20 hours of recorded conversations.
The judge will now have to decide if the evidence can be used for trial. Kugler's trial will begin on January 7.
