It is election day, and by the end of the day we should know who will run our country. The Monroe County Board of Elections is already reporting large crowds.

Our cameras were at a number of polling places this morning, and everywhere it was the same thing- a large voter turnout. The Board of Elections says more than 437,000 people are registered to vote in the county. Of that number, 80 to 85 percent are expected to head to the polls. Voters lined up early to cast their ballot, but some say they are ready for this day to end.

The polls are open until 9 p.m.
