Rochester Teen Pleads Guilty To Orchard St. Murder

A Rochester teen has pleaded guilty to murder in a New Year's Eve homicide.

Robert Lathrop, 17, was charged for the death of Matthew SanFilippo, 53, on Orchard Street on December 31st. Prosecutors say Lathrop and another suspect tried to rob the victim. SanFilippo was shot in the back. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lathrop will be sentenced on December 12th. He faces between 18 and 20 years to life in prison.
