RG&E Prepares for Hurricane Sandy

Rochester Gas and Electric is on high alert due to Hurricane Sandy.

RG&E is saying parts of their service area could experience power outages because of high winds. Emergency planners are closely monitoring the weather.

RG&E says that they have crews on hand to repair any damage both here and in other parts of the country.

They want to remind you to stay out of flodded basements and to run generators should be run outdoors.

But how do you prepare when your neighbors have a tree that is almost 7 stories high and almost 4 stories wide and they won't do anything to take it down?Its over tall. It has a RGE pole up one side and power lines from the pole to houses. The branches hang so heavy and if even just part of it comes down it will hit 2 homes with mant children inside. They rent and the owner don't give a [censored] and the city just ignores the danger.NES office does nothing.A waste of office space and people. They do nothing here.The tree is on Dale St off Remington St. It can't be mised.If this tree comes down and damage is done the owners won't due anything about any damage it would cause. One lives out of city and rarely stops in.What can those of us who could be affected by this tree falling do to protect ourselves?
