In a matchup of two of Section Five's best offenses, it was a defense that shined brightest under the lights at Sahlen's Stadium.

Batavia Notre Dame held Clyde-Savannah to 240 yards of total offense as the Fighting Irish picked up the Class D title with a 26-6 win. The Golden Eagles entered the championship game averaging over 40 points per game.

BND's Nick Taylor ran for 190 yards and two touchdowns before being named tournament MVP. Andrew Mullen added 88 yards for the Irish in the win. On defense, Anthony Paladino's 3.5 sacks made a tremendous difference.

Batavia Notre Dame will face Avon in the Section V Class D title game at noon on Saturday, November 3rd at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester.
