Brockport's dynamic duo was at it again Friday night.
Denzel Knight ran for 193 yards and three touchdowns while Tom Sydeski passed for 173 yards and two scores as (2)Brockport got past (7)Athena 35-21 in a Class A sectional quarterfinal played at Brockport.
Knight scored on the first play from scrimmage of the second half to break open a 14-14 halftime tie. The 68-yard jaunt was the first of three straight touchdowns for Brockport in the third quarter that put the game away.
Frankie Carnavale, Trevond Jones and John Hampton scored the three Athena touchdowns.
Brockport will now play (6)Canandaigua in next Friday's semifinals at Sahlen's Stadium. The Braves upset (3)Victor 28-27 in overtime. The Brockport-Canandaigua game is scheduled for 7:30pm.
