Three people were rescued from a fire in Clarendon early Thursday morning.

Firefighters say the fire started in the garage in a wood stove just before 1 a.m. The fire then spread to the house. Tanker trucks had to be called in because there were no hydrants on the street. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
