Webster Teacher Given State Honors

A Webster School teacher is getting top honors from the State of New York. 

Gregory Ahlquist has been named the 2013 New York State Teacher of the Year. 

Ahlquist has already been honored in Albany as part of a ceremony, and he will be honored again Thursday in Webster. 

Ahlquist is a native of Webster and a 1991 graduate of Webster Thomas High School. 

He has been teaching social studies in Webster for 12 years. 

He has taught AP World History, AP European History, and a Holocaust elective.
