Fatal Crash in Hamlin

Monroe County Sheriff's deputies said it happened shortly after 4 p.m. Monday on Brick Schoolhouse Road near the intersection of Route 260. Deputies said the car, driven by 24 year old Amber Reeves of Hamlin, with Alayon as the passenger, was traveling south on Route 260. The car was was struck by a pickup truck, driven by 50 year old Robert Mastowski of Hilton, who was making a turn from Brick Schoolhouse Road onto Route 260.
Investigators said Alayon was ejected from the car and run over by the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mastowski was taken to Strong Hospital by Mercy Flight. Reeves was transported by ambulance.
No tickets have been issued at this time. The accident remains under investigation.
