Brockport Fire Department Upgrades Rescue Equipment

The Brockport Fire Department has a new pair of jaws to help in emergency situations.

The department has upgraded their "Jaws of Life" equipment that assists in extrication from vehicles involved in accidents. The technological upgrade will allow the department to free trapped victims quicker and enhance the safety of Brockport residents.

In 2011, the department responded to 141 accidents.
