Rochester-area officials to work tonight's NFL game

By: John Kucko
Updated: September 27, 2012
Both Rochester-area NFL officials, Jimmy DeBell (side judge) and Bill Schuster (umpire) will be working tonight's game in Baltimore between the Ravens and the Browns.  They will be part of a hastily arranged crew that can arrive there quickly.  According to a source, respected official Gene Steratore will be the referee.  From Baltimore, the officials will then fly to Dallas and vote on the new collecting bargaining agreement on Saturday, followed by a seminar-type activity involving all officials.  The labor impasse broke late last night when both sides, the NFL and the NFLRA agreed on a new eight year deal.
