House Explosion on Maple St.

The Rochester Fire Department is on the scene of working fire and possible explosion at a house on the city's west side.
Calls started coming into 911 just after 2 p.m. to 665 Maple Street. Rural Metro Ambulance is standing by but right now there are no reported injuries, and Rural Metro says the house appears to be vacant. Fire investigators say the explosion may have been caused by stolen gas meter. In this event, gas would have leaked out of the house and been ignited by a pilot light or something outside the house. Fire officials say the front porch is in danger of collapse. We have a crew on the scene. Check back updates.
