It was sentencing day for a Batavia caregiver who admitted to stealing thousands of dollars from her former patients.

A judge sentenced Heidi Schollard, 40, to two and a third to seven years in state prison. Schollard pleaded guilty to four counts of grand larceny. Prosecutors say she stole over $330,000. About $265,000 of that stolen money came from one patient alone. In addition to her prison time, Schollard will have to pay a hefty amount in restitution.
