A 22-year-old man has been arraigned on manslaughter charges for the death of a Fairport High School science teacher on Sunday.

Mark Scerbo II remains hospitalized after deputies say he was involved in a serious crash on Route 250 that killed Heather Boyum, 40, as she was biking. Sheriff deputies say Scerbo and his girlfriend were driving recklessly while playing a game. Scerbo allegedly hit Boyum with his motorcycle, knocking her off of her bike. Witnesses say Scerbo's girlfriend then ran her over with her car.

Scerbo was recently released on parole on another DWI charge. He remains in guarded condition at Strong Hospital. He will be held without bail.
