It is another big day in Kodak's bankruptcy.

Initial bids are due today for the company's upcoming patent auction. The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple and Google are forming bidding groups ahead of today's deadline. Kodak is trying to sell 1,100 digital imaging patents in the hopes of raising billions of dollars from the sale to climb out of bankruptcy. The bids will not become public until later next month. The patent sale is scheduled for August 8th.
